Key Points:

#1 Use Zoom

Utilising zoom has been proven to provide a more car-focused frame by reducing the 'dead space' around the car. We recommend using a zoom of 1.5 - 2X.

#2 Shoot in the same direction

Especially for Half-Cut users, capturing the car from the same direction (in other words, moving the car, not yourself) ensures a more consistent natural floor and helps avoid any unwanted obstacles.

#3 Ensure to keep car centre-frame and level

Nobody wants to see a car skewed to the side in an image, nor do they want to see the camera tilted 45 degrees. Ensure that the car is framed in the middle of the image as the main subject.

#4 Photo waist-chest height

Avoid taking photos from too high, as this significantly changes the ratio between the floor and backdrop. Car photos should be taken from a more realistic perspective, between waist and chest height.

#5 Take your time

Practice makes perfect. Your online adverts serve as your shop window for potential customers, so take your time to ensure your images leave a lasting impression on potential car buyers.
